Easy Meat Pie
Meat pies have been enjoyed since ancient times and are popular in many cultures around the world.
This is high protein and non vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 70 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the onion, carrot, and peas until the vegetables are tender.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Mix well.

Transfer the meat mixture to a pie dish.

Roll out the puff pastry sheet to fit the top of the pie dish. Place it over the meat mixture and press the edges to seal.

Brush the beaten egg over the pastry.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

Allow the meat pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
