In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Cut the unsalted butter into small cubes and add it to the bowl.

Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, while mixing the dough with a fork. Mix until the dough comes together and can be formed into a ball.

Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a disk. Wrap them in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out one of the dough disks on a lightly floured surface to fit your pie dish.
