In a large bowl, combine the blueberries, blackberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.

Pour the berry mixture into the pie crust.

Dot the top of the pie with small pieces of butter.

Cover the pie with a second pie crust or create a lattice pattern with strips of pie crust.
