  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the blueberries, blackberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  4. Pour the berry mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Dot the top of the pie with small pieces of butter.
  6. Cover the pie with a second pie crust or create a lattice pattern with strips of pie crust.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes before serving.
