  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one puff pastry sheet and place it in a pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  4. Pour the apple mixture onto the puff pastry in the pie dish.
  5. Roll out the second puff pastry sheet and place it on top of the apple mixture.
  6. Seal the edges of the pie by pressing them together with a fork.
  7. In a small bowl, beat an egg with water to create an egg wash. Brush the egg wash over the top of the pie.
  8. Cut a few slits in the top pastry to allow steam to escape.
