Duke’s Hula Pie is a famous dessert served at Duke’s Waikiki, a popular restaurant in Honolulu, Hawaii. It was named after Duke Kahanamoku, a legendary Hawaiian surfer and Olympic swimmer.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crust and chopped macadamia nuts. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool completely.

Once the crust is cool, spread the vanilla ice cream evenly over the crust.

Drizzle the hot fudge sauce over the ice cream layer.

Place the pie in the freezer and let it set for at least 4 hours, or until firm.

Before serving, top the pie with whipped cream and garnish with maraschino cherries.
