Pumpkin pie was not served at the first Thanksgiving in 1621, but it has since become a traditional dessert for the holiday.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Remove 1 cup of cream cheese mixture and set aside.

To the remaining mixture, add pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Mix well.

Pour pumpkin mixture into graham cracker crust.

Spoon reserved cream cheese mixture over pumpkin layer.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until center is set.

Cool for 1 hour on a wire rack.

Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
