Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Praline pecans
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and praline pecans. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the powdered sugar until smooth.
  9. Pour the glaze over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  10. Let the cake rest for 1 hour before serving.
