Ingredients
  • 800 gram Potatoes
  • 100 gram Butter
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 200 gram Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Parsley
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  5. In a greased deep dish pie pan, layer half of the potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the cooked onion and garlic mixture over the potatoes.
  7. Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the onion and garlic mixture.
  8. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onion and garlic mixture, and cheddar cheese.
  9. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
  10. Pour the egg mixture over the layered potatoes.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
  12. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  13. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
