Ingredients
  • 2 cup Pie crust
  • 2 pound Apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon Butter (cold and cubed)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust and line a deep dish pie plate.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust-lined plate.
  5. Dot the top of the apple mixture with cubed butter.
  6. Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apple mixture.
  7. Seal and flute the edges of the pie crust.
  8. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 1 hour before serving.
