Ingredients
  • 2 cup Pie Crust
  • 3 cup Cherries (pitted)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1/4 pinch Salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the pitted cherries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and salt. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Press 1 1/2 cups of the crumb mixture into the bottom and sides of a deep dish pie pan to form the crust.
  5. Pour the cherry filling into the crust.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture evenly over the top of the cherry filling.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
