Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the pie crust and place it in a deep-dish pie pan.

In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.

Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.

Dot the top of the apples with small pieces of butter.

Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apple filling.

Trim and crimp the edges of the pie crust.

Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
