Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder and hot water until smooth.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon dollops of the cocoa mixture on top. Swirl the cocoa mixture into the batter using a knife or skewer.

Pour the remaining batter on top and smooth the surface.

Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
