Ingredients
  • 3 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Active dry yeast
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Baking soda
  • 10 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Coarse salt
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  6. In a large pot, bring water and baking soda to a boil.
  7. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and shape them into pretzels.
  8. Boil each pretzel in the baking soda water for 30 seconds, then transfer them to a baking sheet.
  9. Sprinkle coarse salt on top of each pretzel.
  10. Bake the pretzels for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
