  3. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. Pour the cherry mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Dot the top of the cherry filling with butter.
  6. Cover the pie with the second pie crust, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
