In a mixing bowl, combine the canned pumpkin, evaporated milk, eggs, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix well.

Pour the mixture into a greased crock pot.

Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture.

Cut the unsalted butter into small pieces and place them on top of the cake mix.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 2 hours.
