Cottage Pie

Cottage Pie is traditionally made with leftover roast beef, but ground beef is commonly used today.
This is high protein and non vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 70 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large pan, cook the ground beef until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, sauté the onion, carrots, and peas until softened.

Add the cooked ground beef back to the pan and stir in the beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth.

Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and the filling is bubbling.

Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
