Cookie Monster Cake
The Cookie Monster Cake was inspired by the popular Sesame Street character, Cookie Monster, known for his love of cookies.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 130 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.
Ingredients
- 2 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Blue food coloring
- 8 Chocolate chip cookies
- 1 cup Whipped cream
- 1/2 cup Chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk.
- Stir in the blue food coloring until well combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Once cooled, frost the top and sides of the cake with whipped cream.
- Decorate the top of the cake with chocolate chip cookies and sprinkle chocolate chips over the whipped cream.
- Let the cake rest for 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
