Ingredients
  • 12 ounce Salt Cod
  • 300 gram Potatoes
  • 1 small Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Parsley
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions
  1. Soak the salt cod in water overnight to remove excess salt.
  2. Boil the codfish for 15 minutes.
  3. Drain and flake the codfish into small pieces.
  4. Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain and mash them.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the flaked codfish, mashed potatoes, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, beaten egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Shape the mixture into small patties.
  7. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  8. Fry the codfish cakes until golden brown on both sides.
  9. Remove from the pan and let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.
