Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x9-inch baking pan.

In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the coconut milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Fold in the shredded coconut.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small bowl, mix together the powdered sugar and lemon juice. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
