Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Coca Cola
  • 1/4 cup Buttermilk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the Coca Cola and bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
  4. Pour the Coca Cola mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add the buttermilk mixture to the batter and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and enough Coca Cola to make a smooth glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  11. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
