  1. Place the clementines in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours. Drain and let cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
  3. Cut the clementines in half and remove any seeds. Place them in a food processor and blend until smooth.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together the ground almonds, sugar, eggs, and baking powder. Add the blended clementines and mix until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
