Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 Apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Cinnamon sugar (granulated sugar mixed with ground cinnamon)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped apples.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly over the batter.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve the cinnamon sugar apple cake as is or with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
