  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, remaining ground cinnamon, and chopped pecans.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-pecan mixture over the batter.
  7. Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon-pecan layer. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-pecan mixture on top.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
