Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 2-3 minutes. Roll the dough into a 12x9-inch rectangle.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon and brown sugar. Spread the melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.
  5. Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal-sized rolls.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rest for 90 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cream cheese, melted butter, and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
