Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
-
In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then whisk until smooth.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, egg yolks, and orange zest. Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
-
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the champagne.
-
Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
-
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
-
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled and set.
-
Before serving, top with sliced strawberries and dust with powdered sugar.
