  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Boiling water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 8-ounce ramekins.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter in each ramekin.
  6. Pour the boiling water over the top, dividing it evenly between the ramekins.
  7. Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes, or until the tops are set and the cake is cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
