  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Whole milk
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. In a small saucepan, melt the semi-sweet chocolate and heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  8. Pour the fudge icing over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
