  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend coconut flakes, melted butter, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, and salt until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  6. Remove from heat and add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and vanilla extract.
  8. Slowly pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  9. Pour the filling into the baked crust.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set around the edges but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 2 hours at room temperature.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully chilled.
  13. Serve chilled with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top.
