  1. In a food processor, pulse the chocolate wafer cookies until finely ground.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the ground chocolate wafer cookies to the peanut butter mixture and mix until evenly combined.
  5. Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.
  6. Press half of the chocolate-peanut butter mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.
  7. Spread one pint of vanilla ice cream over the crust.
  8. Pour the chocolate sauce over the ice cream layer.
  9. Sprinkle half of the chopped peanuts over the chocolate sauce.
  10. Spread the remaining pint of vanilla ice cream over the peanuts.
  11. Top with the remaining chocolate-peanut butter mixture and sprinkle with the remaining chopped peanuts.
  12. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  13. Remove from the freezer and let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
