Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake Eggs
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
-
Grease a muffin tin or use cupcake liners. Pour the cake batter into each cup, filling them about 2/3 full.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
In a separate bowl, mix together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
-
Once the cakes are completely cooled, use a small knife to cut a circle in the top of each cake, about 1 inch in diameter. Remove the cake piece to create a well.
-
Fill each well with the peanut butter mixture.
-
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave or on a stovetop using a double boiler.
-
Dip the top of each cake, including the peanut butter filling, into the melted chocolate.
-
Sprinkle crushed peanuts and colorful sprinkles on top of each cake.
-
Place the cakes in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the chocolate to set.
-
Serve and enjoy!
