Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Orange zest
  • 2 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon Orange juice
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
  5. Divide the batter in half. In one half, stir in the orange zest. In the other half, stir in the cocoa powder and orange juice.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the two batters into the prepared cake pan, alternating colors. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters together to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.
