Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
-
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
-
Gradually mix in the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
-
Divide the batter in half. In one half, stir in the orange zest. In the other half, stir in the cocoa powder and orange juice.
-
Drop spoonfuls of the two batters into the prepared cake pan, alternating colors. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters together to create a marbled effect.
-
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Once cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.
