Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Rinse and drain the canned garbanzo beans.

In a food processor, blend the garbanzo beans, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Stir in the dark chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.

Pour the batter into a greased 9-inch round cake pan.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
