Ingredients
  • 1 box Chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 pint Strawberries
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.
  6. Meanwhile, wash and dry the strawberries. Cut off the stems and slice them in half.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
  8. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  9. Place the cake on a serving plate and pour the chocolate ganache over the top, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  10. Arrange the strawberry halves on top of the cake.
  11. Let the cake rest for at least 1 hour before serving.
