  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Boiling water
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the batter.
  7. Pour the boiling water over the top of the batter and cocoa mixture. Do not stir.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until the cake is set and the pudding layer is bubbling.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  10. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it starts to simmer.
  11. Remove from heat and stir in the powdered sugar until smooth.
  12. Pour the ganache over the warm cake.
  13. Let the cake cool for at least 1 hour before serving.
  14. Serve warm or at room temperature.
