  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 0.75 cup Carrots, grated
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 2 unit Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup Buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup Chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Cream cheese
  • 0.75 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a doughnut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix the grated carrots, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon the batter into the doughnut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a doughnut comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the doughnuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  10. Dip the cooled doughnuts into the cream cheese frosting.
  11. Sprinkle with sprinkles if desired.
  12. Let the frosting set for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
