Chocolate Carrot Cake

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

In another bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Fold in the grated carrots and chopped dark chocolate.

Pour the batter into a greased and lined cake pan.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

In the meantime, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and butter until smooth and creamy.

Once the cake has cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
