  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  9. Spread the filling on the bottom side of half of the cookies.
  10. Top with the remaining cookies to make sandwiches.
  11. Allow the cookies to rest for 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
