  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bunny-shaped cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir in the semi-sweet chocolate until melted and smooth. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  7. In a mixing bowl, beat the powdered sugar and softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the cooled chocolate mixture and beat until well combined.
  8. Cut the cooled cake in half horizontally. Spread a layer of chocolate frosting on the bottom half and place the top half back on. Frost the entire cake with the remaining chocolate frosting.
  9. In a small bowl, mix the shredded coconut with a few drops of pink gel food coloring until evenly colored. Sprinkle the colored coconut on the bunny's ears to resemble pink bunny ears.
  10. Decorate the cake with candy eyes and mini chocolate chips to create the bunny's face. Serve and enjoy!
