  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and mashed bananas. Mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared jelly roll pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. While the cake is still warm, dust a clean kitchen towel with powdered sugar. Invert the cake onto the towel and gently peel off the parchment paper.
  8. Starting from one of the short ends, roll up the cake with the towel. Let it cool completely.
  9. In a medium bowl, whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  10. Unroll the cake and spread the whipped cream evenly over the surface. Sprinkle the chopped chocolate on top.
  11. Roll the cake back up, removing the towel as you go. Place the cake roll on a serving platter, seam side down.
  12. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  13. Slice and serve chilled.
