Ingredients
  • 300 gram Chicken Breast
  • 200 gram Frozen Mixed Vegetables
  • 100 gram Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Chicken Stock
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 sheet Puff Pastry
  • 1 beaten Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Add the chicken breast and cook until no longer pink. Remove from the skillet and shred the chicken.
  4. In the same skillet, add the frozen mixed vegetables and cook until heated through.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the vegetables and stir to coat.
  6. Slowly pour in the chicken stock while stirring continuously. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Add the shredded chicken back to the skillet and mix well.
  8. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut into squares.
  9. Spoon the chicken mixture onto half of each pastry square. Fold the other half over and press the edges to seal.
  10. Place the hand pies on a baking sheet and brush the tops with beaten egg.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and cooked through.
  12. Allow the hand pies to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
