  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually add chicken broth, tomato paste, Cajun seasoning, thyme, and bay leaves. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in cooked chicken and frozen okra. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
  7. Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the baking dish, covering the mixture completely. Cut slits in the pastry to allow steam to escape.
  8. In a small bowl, beat the egg with salt and pepper. Brush the egg mixture over the pastry.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
