Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cup Cherries
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the butter, egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the cherries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, dust the cake with powdered sugar.
  9. Slice and serve.
