Shepherd’s pie is traditionally made with lamb, but this version uses ground beef instead.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Add the onion, carrots, frozen peas, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well and cook for 5 minutes.

In a separate pot, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth.

Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes evenly over the top.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of the mashed potatoes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Let the pie rest for 10 minutes before serving.
