Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cold unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut the cold butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Gradually add the milk, stirring until the dough comes together. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it is smooth. Roll out the dough to a 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a round biscuit cutter. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in the garlic powder. Brush the garlic butter glaze over the tops of the biscuits. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
