  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the chai tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the butter cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cooled butter, and eggs. Mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the ricotta mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
