Caramelized-Apple and Pecan Pie

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the apples, pecans, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the apples are tender and the mixture is caramelized.

Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Brush the mixture over the edges of the pie crust.

Bake for 40-45 minutes until the crust is golden brown.

Allow the pie to cool for at least 1 hour before serving.
