Marble bread gets its name from the marbled pattern created by combining different colored batters.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Divide the batter into two equal parts. In one part, mix in the cocoa powder.
  5. Pour half of the plain batter into the prepared loaf pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top. Repeat with the cocoa batter and remaining caramel sauce.
  6. Use a knife to create a marble effect by swirling the batters together.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve.
