  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the sour cream. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and caramel sauce.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Serve the caramel apple bundt cake with additional caramel sauce drizzled on top, if desired.
