In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, milk, and peanut butter. Mix until well combined.

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a separate bowl, prepare the instant vanilla pudding according to the package instructions.

Pour the pudding over the cake batter, spreading it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the cake cool for 10 minutes.

Spread the whipped topping over the cooled cake.
